Michelle Graves, L.Ac

I’m a Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist, with a master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, San Francisco. Additionally, I did post graduate training in Hangzhou in Zhejiang Province of China prior to opening my private practice in 2003.

While in China, I spent time in various hospital and clinical settings studying gynecology, oncology, pain management & mental health. I’m also a Diplomate of Acupuncture, NCCAOM (National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine). I’m currently a doctoral candidate at The Pacific College of Health and Science, San Diego.

Additionally, I’m a board-certified Fellow with the American Board of Reproductive Medicine (ABORM). This is a concentrated subspecialty in Fertility & Reproductive Medicine within the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The ABORM board was formed by leading professionals in the field of Oriental Reproductive Medicine to set a standard of care to ensure that practitioners who are treating patients in the field of Reproductive Health are doing so with qualified knowledge and experience.

I utilize skills in holistic medical traditions to address primary health issues and provide overall wellness care. Focused areas of my practice include muscular and skeletal conditions, women’s health concerns including fertility, hormone balance, PMS, and menopause, mental health issues, sleep disorders, and stress. Each treatment is customized for each patient’s condition, focusing and identifying the factors that hinder optimal health. Not only is the physical body considered but emotional, environmental and spiritual. Each session consists of a detailed initial intake, acupuncture session which may include several modalities, such acupuncture, cupping, gua sha and moxa. Herbal recommendations as well as diet and lifestyle suggestions are an integral part of each session.
